I’m Basically an Electrician With Scones

IMG_2174

Our home is not large enough to contain this many cords.

JOB ONE

Dexcom, Verio, phone, phone, phone, phone, iPad, iPad, FitBit. Rrrrr. So many chargers. Stiff, bent cords like unmanageable hair. Ugly tangle on kitchen counter enrage Bigfoot.

The product is tidy and claims to charge everything at hyperspeed.

This picture makes me realize that someone with a USB pencil sharpener is kind of asking for it.

Smarter D-friend (i.e same extreme cords problem/solved) recommend this item. Bigfoot so game. SIX SLOTS. Order. Already arrive! Thanks, Free Amazon Prime. Brilliant. Oh my gosh this is so much tidier than having each appliance’s USB plugged into a wall adapter and then plugging all of those odd shapes into a clunky white power strip. But still cords tangle. Ouch—Bigfoot eyes!

This is the best I can do today. I am pretty sure this is not the final version.

Get all Wonderama and wrap paper towel tube w. wrapping paper. Shove cords in. Situation = tamed.

JOB TWO

Bigfoot FitBit stop working. Online help not solve problem. Called FitBit. On telephone. Representative answer almost immediately, as it waiting by phone, anticipate Bigfoot call. FitBit offer send free replacement, no receipt required. What? FitBit so like Dexcom: valuable little piece stop working, helpful/unsurprised representative reveal liberal replacement policy. BONUS: FitBit offer send replacement ANY COLOR band. Woo-hoo!

OMG you are so Martha Stewart right now. (That’s meant to be a compliment, although I can see how one might not understand that.) We need to come live at your house because we both slept right through the alarm this morning. Scones definitely would’ve gotten us up . . . .

I thought it was a show we’d all have seen. It was on ALLLLLL of the time. When I googled it, it said something about Long Island. But I didn’t live on Long Island. Your girl Charisma says she remembers it as does her spouse. And she’s from…?

Wonderama even had Jackson 5 on sometimes. It can’t have been too rinky-dink.

Wackadoo, wackadoo, wackadoo! My sister and I were glued to this show as a kid! “Tell me all the good things you have for me…one, two, three!” That vimeo was priceless! I was also a GYNORMOUS Jerry Lewis fan and tear up when I think about what that man did for the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. Never failed to watch that. I don’t think we go to go to Wonderama, too hard to get tickets, but did go to the Uncle Al show! I’m also a nut for Sesame Street.
