mini apple brown bettys (betties?)

I think this idea from Elena's pantry is going to be pure gold! No one can stick a tainted utensil in your child's apple brown betty, and the jars have lids (leak-proof travel?). I had to unpaleo the topping--it's just butter and brown sugar and some almond flour.

the strategy is make lists, shop in advance, then stand around writing a blog post and then wait for someone to tell me what an incredible operation i have here. thanks, g! i guess i can cook now.

  4. Did Jack make up that bingo game?! What a fun kid! That will be everyone’s favorite part of the day!
I made one up for an all-day inservice at work once and people still talk about it.

I wish you were my celiac mom when I was a kid! I got turkey (if they bought a no flav-a-pack one) and mashed potatoes and peas (no gravy). To be fair, mashed potatoes were my favorite. And I just had to hurry and get mine first before everything was contaminated. At the time it seemed fine, like, well… What else could they do? But look at you!

  5. How did it go?

I told my niece and nephews to keep the serving spoons in their own dishes and I think we did alright keeping things separate. I also got to serve myself first like Robin (above).
